Amy and the twins....

Amy made it to 36 weeks today (37 weeks is considered full term for twins). We are very thankful to get this far but it has definately not been a walk in the park. We are currently in the hospital for the 3rd time (2nd overnight) in the last few weeks. The babies are very active and getting bigger, faster. As of last Thursday Baby A (boy) measured 5.8lbs and Baby B (girl) measured 6.2lbs. Baby B is breach/transverse and Baby A is head down for the most part. A C-section will be the delivery method given their position. Contractions are being watched closely - they have eased up a bit over the course of the day. The current plan now is to monitor the contractions and be prepared for delivery at any time. Dr. Nyi is ok to go forward with delivery here in Pontiac - now that she's officially past 36 weeks. There is still a chance that the babies may have to be life flighted over to Peoria but we will not know that until they are born. We worry about that (having Amy here and me in Peoria with the babies) but at this point - whatever it takes and whatever is best.

Henry is hanging in there. He really is tolerating everything very well. He had his 3 year appointment last week. He grew 6 1/2 inches in the last year and doing well - eventhough we had him in the ER over the weekend for severe stomach pains but he's doing just fine now.

  4. Uncle Don and I are praying for all of you as well. We pray that the birth will go smoothly and that you children will be born completely ready to begin their new adventures and be able to stay in Pontiac with their Mommy, Daddy and big brother. We pray that Amy will heal quickly and feel wonderful in no time. We pray that Henry's tummy will be fine and that he will adjust to his new sibs. We also pray for you, Matt, as your new adventure continues with joy.
